Governor Bala Mohammed has received a high-powered delegation led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, at the Government House in Bauchi.
The visit was to condole with the government and people of the state over the passing of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
The delegation included the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung. They expressed their sympathy to the governor and the family of the late scholar.
Governor Bala Mohammed described the visit as a symbol of national unity. He said the presence of the delegation reflects the respect and influence the late Sheikh Dahiru had across the country.
The governor also paid tribute to the cleric for his lifelong commitment to Islamic education and moral guidance. He noted that Sheikh Dahiru’s teachings will remain a reference point for future generations.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the scholar’s soul, while followers of Sheikh Dahiru were urged to continue promoting peace, humility, and knowledge in line with his legacy.
