Residents of Kafin Madaki and surrounding communities in Ganjuwa Local Government Area are set to benefit from improved road infrastructure following the commencement of rehabilitation work on the Kafin Madaki Road by the Bauchi State Infrastructure Development and Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA).
The Director General of BASIDMA, Engr. Abdulrahman Maiauduga, officially inaugurated the project, describing it as another milestone in the Bauchi State Government’s commitment to providing durable infrastructure that supports economic growth and improves the quality of life of citizens.
Addressing stakeholders during the flag-off ceremony, Engr. Maiauduga stated that the rehabilitation became necessary because the road had deteriorated over the years, making transportation difficult for residents, farmers, traders, and motorists who depend on it daily.
He said Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed remains committed to ensuring that every part of the state benefits from people-oriented projects, adding that investment in road infrastructure is essential for opening up rural communities and stimulating development.
The BASIDMA Director General assured residents that the agency would ensure quality execution of the project and appealed for their cooperation throughout the construction period. He also urged the people to continue supporting the present administration in its efforts to transform the state.
Speaking at the event, the Member representing Ganjuwa West Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Garba Adamu, said the rehabilitation of the road would bring long-awaited relief to thousands of residents who had endured years of hardship due to its poor condition.
Hon. Garba Adamu commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for listening to the concerns of the people and responding with decisive action. He expressed optimism that the completed road would improve transportation, facilitate trade and agricultural activities, and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
