The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa over an alleged offence of Naira mutilation.
The arrest followed a viral video circulating on social media platforms in which the actress was seen using Naira notes to clean mucus from her nose.
According to the Commission, investigations were immediately launched after the video surfaced, leading to her identification, tracing, and subsequent arrest on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
She is currently in the custody of the EFCC at its Kano Zonal detention facility, while investigations are ongoing.
The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
