Governor Bala Mohammed Mourns Former Bauchi Military Administrator Brig-Gen Abu Ali (Rtd.)

GovernorBala Mohammed has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Brigadier-General Abu Ali (Rtd.), a former Military Administrator of Bauchi State.

The condolence message was issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

General Abu Ali, who served from 1990 to 1992, is remembered for major developmental projects, including the Bauchi Township Water Project and the strengthening of the Tomato Processing Company. He also founded the Wikki Tourists Football Club.

He is also noted for restoring calm during the 1991 crisis in Tafawa Balewa, where he imposed a curfew and deployed security personnel to prevent further unrest.

Governor Bala hailed the late General’s humility and respect for democracy, reflected in his peaceful handover to an elected government in 1992. He later became the Etsu Bassa Nge in Kogi State, serving with honour.

Mukhtar Gidado conveyed the Governor’s condolences to the family of the deceased and the Bassa Nge Kingdom, urging prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
