By Mubarak Aliyu Kobi

A philanthropist and former Group General Manager of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services, Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti, has appealed to the Bauchi State Government to immortalize the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Dr. Wunti made the appeal during the ongoing three-day special prayer session held in honour of the late cleric, who passed away last Thursday.

He described Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi as a national treasure whose contributions to Islamic scholarship, peacebuilding and moral guidance have shaped generations across Nigeria.

The thoroughbred oil and gas industry professional said immortalizing Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi would preserve his legacy and inspire younger scholars to continue on the path of knowledge and service to humanity.

Governor Bala Mohammed had earlier extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, state governors and other prominent Nigerians who stood with Bauchi State throughout the mourning period of the late scholar.

Our Correspondent Mubarak Aliyu Kobi reports that Prayers were offered for the repose of the cleric’s soul, while the Muslim faithful were urged to uphold his teachings and values as part of sustaining his legacy.
