A coalition of journalists and Islamic advocates in Bauchi State has produced a book chronicling the life, lifestyle, and enduring legacy of the renowned late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
The book, titled “Rayuwa Wajen Hidimta wa Addini: Tarihin Maulana Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi,” highlights the late cleric’s lifelong dedication to Islamic propagation and scholarship in Nigeria and beyond.
The publication was formally presented to the family of the late scholar during a special prayer session held in Bauchi, marking 40 days after his passing.

The event, organized in honour of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s unwavering commitment to the propagation of Islam, attracted Islamic scholars, students, and followers of the respected preacher.
Speaking at the occasion, the leader of the coalition, Imam Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir, said the initiative was inspired by the immense impact of the late Sheikh on Islamic education in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s influence extended beyond Nigeria to several other African countries.
Dr. Abdulkadir explained that although many books and journals were written about the scholar during his lifetime, the coalition considered it necessary to document his lifestyle and contributions after his passing in order to preserve his legacy for future generations.
According to him, the book offers deep insight into the personal discipline, humility, and devotion that defined the life of the late Islamic preacher.
Dr. Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir was represented at the event by Bayero Idris Dajin and Abubakar Abdulkadir of the Bauchi State Television (BATV).
They stated that the publication serves not only as a biography but also as a guide for young people seeking knowledge, leadership, and service within Islam, adding that the book captures both the public and private aspects of the late scholar’s life.

The coalition leader further disclosed that a Book Production and Documentation Committee was constituted specifically for the project. He said the committee worked tirelessly to gather accurate information, testimonies, and historical records to ensure the book truly reflects the life and mission of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
Dr. Abdulkadir commended members of the committee for their dedication and teamwork, noting that their collective effort led to the successful production of the book despite limited resources.
He appealed to wealthy individuals and philanthropists within and outside Bauchi State to support the committee financially, stating that such support would facilitate the production of 50,000 additional copies for wider distribution.

According to him, mass circulation of the book would help preserve Islamic history and ensure that the teachings and values of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi continue to inspire future generations.
In his remarks on behalf of the Sheikh Dahiru family, the Khalifa of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, expressed profound appreciation to the coalition for the initiative.
He thanked the group for documenting the life and contributions of their father, describing the book as a valuable tribute to his enduring legacy.
