In Bauchi, the Executive Chairman of the Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Muhammad Sambo Alkali, has once again demonstrated his commitment to improving healthcare delivery, as he paid a surprise late-night visit to the Women and Children Hospital yesterday.

The visit was aimed at ensuring that healthcare workers on night duty were present at their posts and carrying out their responsibilities as expected. Upon arrival, Dr. Alkali moved round the hospital wards to assess the level of service delivery.

The inspection revealed that staff on duty were fully present and working diligently. The Executive Chairman expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and professionalism displayed by the workers.

During the tour, Dr. Alkali came across a patient who had just been rushed into the emergency unit for urgent attention. He immediately contacted the guardian of the patient and sternly warned against keeping sick individuals at home without seeking prompt medical care.

The HMB boss emphasized that delay in taking patients to the hospital often results in complications that could otherwise be avoided. He advised members of the public to always seek medical assistance early for the safety of their loved ones.

Dr. Alkali further commended the management and staff of the hospital for their dedication, assuring them of continued support from the government.

He also extended appreciation to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, popularly known as Kauran Daular Usmaniyya, for his unwavering support to the health sector.

In his directive, the Executive Chairman ordered the hospital In-Charge to ensure every unit head closely monitors their staff, guaranteeing full compliance, accountability, and constant availability of personnel on duty.
