Pastor Zakka Rejects Claims Linking Bauchi Governor to Insecurity

 

 

The Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State on Christian Religious Affairs, Pastor (Dr.) Zakka Luka Magaji, has denied allegations linking Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to the sponsorship of banditry or insecurity.

In a statement issued to journalists, Pastor Magaji said that Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has not, at any time during his tenure, sponsored, supported, or encouraged banditry or any form of criminal activity. He described the allegations as false and misleading.

According to the statement, the Governor has continued to take steps aimed at addressing security challenges in the state and remains committed to the protection of lives and property, as well as the maintenance of law and order.

 

Pastor Magaji also stated that the administration operates an inclusive system of governance, ensuring equal treatment of Christians, indigenous communities, non-indigenous residents, and all ethnic and religious groups in Bauchi State.

 

He added that his office has records of engagements and interventions carried out by the state government within the Christian community, which he said reflect the administration’s approach to inclusive governance.

 

The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of support for Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and his administration.
