We Prioritise Security, Healthcare, Education, Community Development – Alkaleri LG Chairman

The Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Hon. Garba Hassan Bajama, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritising security, healthcare, education and grassroots development as critical pillars for sustainable peace and socio-economic progress.

Hon. Bajama stated this during an extensive interaction with journalists, where he emphasised that meaningful development cannot be achieved without lasting peace and security.

He urged residents of Alkaleri to continue supporting government initiatives, stressing that collective responsibility remains vital to the attainment of shared development goals.

According to him, “We must move together to succeed together.”

On security interventions, the chairman disclosed that the local government has provided four operational vehicles in the Duguri axis, alongside motorcycles, to enhance surveillance and strengthen the capacity of security operatives in protecting lives and property across the area.

In the education sector, Hon. Bajama revealed that solar-powered electricity has been installed at the model secondary school constructed by Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, in Yelwan Duguri. He noted that the initiative is aimed at improving teaching and learning, as well as overall academic performance.

The Alkaleri council boss also dismissed allegations and misinformation linking Governor Bala Mohammed to terrorism-related activities, describing the claims as false, baseless and malicious.

He maintained that the governor is widely recognised for his firm stance against terrorism and his decisive role in restoring peace and security across Bauchi State.

Hon. Bajama further explained that the governor’s commitment to grassroots governance informed the creation of 14 new traditional emirates and the appointment of 142 district heads, a move aimed at bringing leadership closer to the people and accelerating development at the community level.

He concluded by expressing appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for the establishment of the Duguri Emirate and the appointment of new district heads. He also offered prayers for the continued success of the governor, the Bauchi Emirate Council and the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, praying for lasting peace, economic prosperity and stability in Bauchi State and Nigeria.
