Reports from Kebbi State indicate that the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Honorable Samaila Bambu, has been abducted by suspected bandits believed to be members of the Lakurawa group.
A resident of the area confirmed that Bambu was kidnapped on Friday evening in his hometown of Bagudo, located in Bagudo Local Government Area of the state.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, who confirmed the incident to the Journalists, said he is awaiting a detailed security report from the state’s Director of Security before issuing further information.
