NATIONAL SECURITY: Service Chiefs Honour Retired Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, at Pulling Out Parade

 

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has joined the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Parker Undiandeye, and other Service Chiefs at the ceremonial Pulling Out Parade held in honour of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (Rtd).

 

The colourful event, which took place at the Mogadishu Cantonment Parade Ground, Asokoro, Abuja, marked the official retirement of General Musa after thirty-nine years of dedicated and meritorious service to the nation.

The occasion attracted several dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani; the Honourable Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru Abubakar; former Chief of Defence Staff, General Leo Irabor; former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya; as well as Principal Staff Officers from the Defence and Services Headquarters.

 

Also in attendance were Commandants of Defence and Nigerian Army institutions, Force Commanders, General Officers Commanding, Flag Officers Commanding, Air Officers Commanding, senior military officers—both serving and retired—alongside friends, family members, and well-wishers from the barracks community.

 

The Pulling Out Parade featured military displays and ceremonial honours, celebrating the remarkable contributions of General Christopher Musa to national security and the Nigerian Armed Forces.

General Musa bows out of active service, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, courage, and exemplary leadership in the defence of Nigeria.
