President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has presented an award to the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulqadir Mohammed, recognizing him as the “Outstanding Governor” for excellence in governance and urban development.
The honour was bestowed during an evaluation exhibition organized by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), in collaboration with Best Strategic Media, a reputable institution known for assessing the performance of top government officials nationwide.
President Tinubu, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, stated that Governor Bala truly deserved the recognition due to his strategic urban development initiatives, economic growth policies, commitment to public welfare, and his dedication to transparent and accountable leadership.
During the award ceremony held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Akume emphasized that the federal government appreciates the quality contributions of exceptional governors, noting that such awards help to promote excellence and healthy competition in leadership.
Governor Bala Mohammed expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it would further inspire him to continue implementing transformative policies that reshape urban centres and improve the quality of life for the people of Bauchi and the entire North-East region.
